Many of our pupils over the years have gone on to have successful careers in the world of dance and entertainment. Here are just a few of the success stories:
Kerry, who started her ballet training with Maggie Monk School of Dancing, continued on to Tring Arts Educational School. After leaving, she joined St Petersberg State Ballet before joining English National Ballet in 2006. In 2010, she was promoted to First Artist with the company and has performed in many ballet productions. In 2012, Kerry played a female lead role in the ENB's original production of Strictly Gershwin. The part was created especially for her! In between work, Kerry came back to teach ballet at Maggie Monk School of Dancing, choreographing for our performance of Quackers in 2004. Kerry is currently a partner and instructor at Tring Pilates Studio as well as a classical ballet coach.
Kara Lily Hayworth first found her love for performing at Maggie Monk School of Dancing. She began having dance lessons with Maggie and the rest of the team from a very young age and knew from this point that she wanted to perform for a living. She went on to train at The Central School of Speech and Drama on the BA Hons Acting with Musical Theatre course from 2007-2010. Since graduating, she has been very busy in Theatre, TV and Film, including working on feature film Maleficent. In 2016, Kara made it through to the Live semi-finals of Britain's Got Talent with vocal group, Zyrah Rose. Kara has just won her first major role as Cilla Black in Cilla The Musical which is due to open in Liverpool in September before embarking on a UK Tour.
